HRWA Closes Out Inspiring “Winning Strategies” Professional Development Series, Hosted by Amy Brin

The Horse Racing Women’s Association (HRWA) was proud to offer HRWA members access to an inspiring professional development series, entitled “Winning Strategies,” created to support women navigating leadership, communication, and decision-making in today’s Thoroughbred industry. The series was facilitated by Amy Brin, MSN, MA, PCNS-BC, a nationally recognized leadership strategist with more than 20 years of experience guiding executives and organizations through change.

Held over a span of three months, the trio of sessions in this series focused on leading with confidence; boundaries, balance, and growth; and strategic leadership.

“I believe many women struggle with confidence and visibility, especially as business owners and even more so in male-dominated industries like horse racing. What really resonated with me is the importance of bringing women together as a community because while we may all struggle, we do so on different levels,” said one participant. “I am truly grateful for these webinars and for creating a space that lifts women up, gives us tools to lead with confidence, and helps us succeed.”

Brin guided participants in discussions exploring their leadership strengths and communication styles while examining common workplace dynamics; setting and maintaining healthy workplace boundaries, reframing fear into action, and building self-trust; along with working through high-stakes leadership moments using frameworks for decision-making, influence, and resilience.

“The skills and techniques provided by Amy and this leadership series will undoubtedly be used continuously throughout my career, and for that I am grateful,” said another participant.

The next HRWA in-person event will take place Saturday, July 11 at Century Mile Racetrack and Casino in Edmonton, Alberta, Canda. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
